At Whirlwind, we’ve learned to do a lot with a little. Look at what your donation can do:

  1. $40 - All Terrain Wheels - two quality wheels with long life bearings (average 5 years)
  2. $220 - A RoughRider Wheelchair & Shipping - the rider inspired chair seen on PBS Frontline/World
  3. $1500 - The Whirlwind Village Pack - five RoughRiders with support for local disability groups and long term repairs
  4. $3000 - Community Mobility Shipment - ten RoughRiders or kids chairs, disability group support, long term repair, and cushioning for riders with special needs

 

We welcome donations of any size. In 2010 our RoughRider wheelchairs will be distributed in Haiti, Indonesia, Jamaica, Mongolia, and Nicaragua. We have riders who need chairs and workers ready to build them. Your donation can change a life. Click on the button below to make a secure online donation or mail your check to the address below.

Whirlwind Wheelchair operates under the umbrella of the University Corporation San Francisco State. The Corporation is a California State University auxiliary, a 501(c) (3) charitable foundation (formally known as the SFSU Foundation, Inc.) that supports itself and, in fact, generates funds that can be used for the University's benefit. While it is a separate legal entity, the Corporation exists to serve SFSU-"to promote, assist and enhance the educational mission," in the words of its official charter. The Corporation's Federal tax ID number is 94-1384645.
